The bridge, which was completed in 1956, has become a popular tourist destination. Although it is well-built and may be safely crossed, it is not recommended to do so in high winds. Automobiles have been seen to take flight in high-speed winds. Fortunately, a boat service is available if you don’t want to risk your life on this dangerous bridge.
