Although the name suggests a huge, roomy road, the reverse is actually true. It’s a 16 mile long dirt track which was carved by hand by 19th century miners. You can barely fit a car on the trail and on one side is a steep cliff, so you need to be somewhat brave to tackle this drive.
However, as you might expect, you will be rewarded with some stunning views and the high vantage point means you can admire the landscapes all around and see for miles.
