The Taroko Gorge Road, Taiwan
Carved into the cliff side rocks, this gorgeous mountain road offers some jaw-dropping views. It’s narrow and winding and can only fit one line of cars. The views make it well worth exploring however.
Enjoy the natural rock formations of schist, gneiss and marble while cutting through the sharp mountain road. The landscape changes often in this area due to the seismic shifts in the rock. This makes it perilous for drivers and the rain and flooding that sometimes occurs here doesn’t make it any easier to travel.
