The Caucasus Road, Georgia
Also known as the Georgian Military Road, the Caucasus Road has a colorful history and is certainly one of the most beautiful roads there is. Historically it goes back to Roman times. Invaders trying to take control of Russian and Georgian lands used it along with tradesmen throughout history.
The Caucasus Road goes from Vladikavkaz, Russia to Tbilisi, Georgia. Travel on this road and you will see a wealth of stunning rural areas in both Russia and Georgia.
