Samsung 70″ Crystal UHD 4K Smart TV
We recommend this TV for its impressive picture quality and smart features at a reasonable price point.
We recommend this TV for its impressive picture quality and smart features at a reasonable price point.
After spending time with the Samsung 70″ Crystal UHD, we’re impressed by its picture quality. The 4K resolution brings out fine details, while the PurColor technology makes colors pop. We noticed this especially when watching nature documentaries – the greens of forests and blues of oceans looked stunning.
The TV handles motion well too. We watched a few football games, and the action stayed clear and smooth. This is thanks to the Motion Xcelerator feature, which reduces blur in fast-moving scenes. It’s not quite as good as pricier QLED models, but it’s solid for the price.
We like the smart TV features. The Tizen operating system is quick and easy to use. We had no trouble finding our favorite streaming apps. The TV also comes with Samsung TV Plus, which offers free live TV channels. It’s a nice bonus if you’re looking to cut the cord.
The sound is okay, but not amazing. For basic TV watching it’s fine, but we’d suggest adding a soundbar for movies or sports. We also noticed the picture loses some quality when viewed from the sides, so it’s best for straight-on viewing.
Setting up the TV was a breeze. We had it up and running in about 15 minutes. The remote is simple, which some might like, but we missed having dedicated buttons for streaming services.
For the price, this Samsung offers great value. It’s not perfect, but it delivers where it counts – picture quality and smart features. If you’re after a big screen experience without breaking the bank, this TV is worth considering.

We’ve been testing the Samsung 70″ QLED Q60D for a few weeks now, and we’re pretty impressed with what it offers. The picture quality is a standout feature. Colors pop thanks to the Quantum Dot technology, and the HDR makes everything look more lifelike. We noticed this especially when watching nature documentaries – the greens of forests and blues of oceans looked stunning.
The slim design is another plus. It doesn’t stick out from the wall much, which gives a clean look in our living room. We also like the Gaming Hub feature. It’s neat to be able to play games without a console, though serious gamers might want something with a higher refresh rate.
Sound quality is okay, but not amazing. We found ourselves wanting a bit more oomph during action scenes. The Object Tracking Sound Lite feature helps a bit, making audio feel more immersive. Smart features work well, but keep in mind you’ll need a Samsung account to access everything. Despite these small gripes, we think this TV offers great value for its size and features.

The TV’s slim design is a standout feature. It’s so thin that it almost disappears when mounted on the wall. We love how it doesn’t take up much space and fits nicely in our living room. The solar-powered remote is a nice touch too – no more hunting for batteries!
For gamers, this TV is a treat. We tried a few fast-paced games and noticed very little lag. The dedicated Gaming Hub made it easy to access our favorite games and tweak settings. While the built-in speakers are okay for casual viewing, we’d suggest adding a soundbar for a more immersive experience.

The Samsung 70″ QLED Q60B impressed us with its vivid colors and sharp 4K picture. We loved how the Quantum Dot technology made images pop, especially in bright scenes. The TV’s ability to upscale lower-resolution content to 4K was a standout feature, making older shows and movies look better than ever.
We found the smart TV interface easy to use, with quick access to popular streaming apps. The built-in voice assistants were handy for searching content and controlling the TV. The slim design looked great in our living room, and setup was a breeze.
While the picture quality is top-notch straight ahead, we noticed some color and contrast loss when viewing from the sides. The 60Hz refresh rate was fine for most content, but fast-moving sports or action scenes weren’t as smooth as on higher-end models. We recently got our hands on this 70-inch Samsung smart TV, and we’re impressed by what it offers for the price. The 4K resolution really pops, bringing out crisp details in movies and shows. Colors look rich and natural thanks to Samsung’s Crystal Display tech.
The built-in smart TV system runs smoothly. We had no trouble finding and launching our favorite streaming apps. The on-screen guide does a nice job organizing content from different sources. Voice control through the remote works well for basic commands and searches.
While not perfect, we think this TV hits a sweet spot of size, picture quality, and smart features for many buyers. The main downsides are the limited HDMI ports and lack of advanced picture features like local dimming. But for casual viewing and streaming, it delivers an enjoyable big-screen experience without breaking the bank.

The smart TV features are a big plus. We enjoyed browsing streaming apps and watching free live TV through Samsung TV Plus. The interface is easy to use, even for those new to smart TVs.
On the downside, we found the remote control a bit tricky to navigate. It took some time to get used to the button layout. We also missed having voice command options, which would have made searching for content much easier. Typing using the on-screen keyboard was slow and frustrating at times.
Despite these minor issues, we think this TV offers good value for its size and features. The picture quality alone makes it worth considering for your living room or home theater setup.

We’ve spent time testing this 70-inch VIZIO, and it delivers a nice big-screen experience. The 4K resolution looks crisp, especially when watching 4K content. Colors pop thanks to the HDR support, which includes both Dolby Vision and HDR10+.
For streaming, the built-in SmartCast platform gives easy access to popular apps like Netflix and Disney+. We like being able to cast from our phones using Chromecast or AirPlay 2. The remote works well, but the on-screen menus can be a bit sluggish to navigate at times.
Gamers will enjoy the auto low latency mode and 4K/60Hz support. We noticed minimal lag when playing fast-paced games. The full-array backlight provides good contrast, though it’s not quite as bright as pricier TVs. For most living rooms it looks great, but very sunny spaces may want a brighter set. The Google TV interface is a breeze to use. We found it easy to access our favorite streaming apps and discover new content. The voice remote came in handy for quick searches.
Gaming on this TV is decent. While it’s not the fastest out there, casual gamers should be happy. We noticed some slight motion blur in fast-paced scenes, but it wasn’t a deal-breaker at this price point.
Sound quality is average. For the best experience, you might want to add a soundbar. But for everyday TV watching, the built-in speakers get the job done.
We did notice the picture loses some quality when viewed from the side. It’s best to sit directly in front of the screen for the optimal viewing experience.
All in all, if you’re after a big screen on a budget, this Hisense model is worth considering. It’s not perfect, but it offers solid performance for the price.

One thing to keep in mind is the 60Hz refresh rate. While fine for most content, it’s not ideal for fast-moving sports or gaming. The viewing angles are also a bit narrow, so it’s best viewed straight-on. Despite these minor drawbacks, we think the Samsung Q60A offers great value for its size and features.

Buying Guide
When shopping for a 70-inch smart TV, we recommend focusing on a few key features.
Picture Quality
Look for 4K resolution and HDR support. These technologies provide sharper images and better contrast. OLED and QLED displays often offer the best picture quality.
Smart Features
Make sure the TV has a user-friendly interface and supports popular streaming apps. Voice control can be a handy extra.
Connectivity
We suggest choosing a TV with multiple HDMI ports for connecting devices. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are essential for smart features.
Sound Quality
While external speakers are ideal, built-in audio quality matters. Look for TVs with decent wattage and multiple speakers.
Refresh Rate
A 120Hz refresh rate provides smoother motion, especially for sports and action movies.
Price
Set a budget, but remember that higher-end models often offer better longevity and features.
Screen Reflections
Consider where you’ll place the TV. Some models handle glare better than others.
Gaming Features
For gamers, low input lag and variable refresh rate support are important.
We recommend reading professional reviews and comparing specs before making a decision. It’s also wise to see the TV in person if possible to judge picture quality firsthand.
